In 2012, German adventurer Maximilian Semsch rode 16,000km around Australia on a Haibike e-Bike equipped with the seamless-shifting NuVinci N360 hub. It was the longest e-Bike trip ever undertaken and the longest road test for the NuVinci hub in combination with an e-drive system under extreme conditions. North American Handmade Bicycle Show

While Fallbrook Technologies will not be exhibiting at NAHBS, the NuVinci N360 will have a strong presence at the show. Gates Carbon Drive will present a custom eBike showcase featuring five custom, electric bikes from some of the top builders in the country. Sea Otter Classic

The Subaru Sea Otter Classic has been known as North America’s competitive cyclist season opener since 1993. Over 10,000 athletes and 65,000 fans attend each year for four days of race events and an industry expo. Fallbrook and Gates are set to co-exhibit and will have a number of bikes for demo rides. In addition to Fallbrook’s partnership with Gates, Bosch plans to launch their 2nd generation e-bike systems in the U.S. at this event. They will be displaying several NuVinci®-equipped e-bikes paired flawlessly with the Bosch system.
